Abstract

|
This study is to analyze the introduction of private system to social insurance as an alternative for its reform. Private system in social insurance such as individual account system or involvement of private firms is expected to promote managerial efficiency in social insurance and to be helpful to get public support. In order for the proposed private system to be successful in social insurance, it is essential to build up social solidarity based upon general support of the public. Also, we have to try hard to build up sound social security net to consider social equity as we are trying to raise economic efficiency of the social insurance by introducing private system.
